  The general bachelor's page presents a choice from more than 50 bachelor's programmes and directs applicants to find a specific programme. This limits the rating: the main choice is a programme choice, not an in-university major choice after admission.

  The admissions page starts the process with the step Choose your bachelor's programme and points applicants to programme-specific details. This confirms that the baseline admission model is tied to a chosen bachelor programme.

• Bachelor's application procedure https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/education/admission-and-application/bachelors/application-procedure

  The application procedure says each student starts in Studielink for a degree programme and is then assessed against the requirements of the chosen programme. This does not read as a general later-major-choice model.

  Leiden describes minors as coherent 15 or 30 EC packages that bachelor's students take using elective credits. A minor can broaden beyond the student's own programme or deepen the field, but it remains an additional block rather than the main major.

  The same page confirms external choice: a minor can be taken at Leiden, TU Delft, Erasmus University Rotterdam, or abroad through a collaboration agreement with Leiden University.

  Staff guidance says bachelor's programmes offer a minor or another use of elective credits. Options include a minor in Leiden, Delft or Rotterdam, a minor at an institution abroad, an internship, separate elective courses or a self-composed package with Board of Examiners approval.

  This strongly supports courseChoice 4, but on the program-choice axis it only confirms the minor level.

  Leiden University College, within the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges programme, offers six majors and the major is chosen after the first year. This is a real major-choice pocket, but it belongs to one bachelor programme and does not prove a university-wide major-plus-minor model for Leiden as a whole.

  The DUO Studenten wo, bachelor, master en postmaster file with the 1 October 2025 reference date contains Universiteit Leiden rows for the bachelor education type.

  The sum of the published numeric 2025 values is 21,682 bachelor students across full time and part time study, including Leiden and The Hague. DUO statistically protects 14 rows as <5, so the public numeric sum may undercount by up to 56 students.

  The specialist degree level does not apply to the Dutch model, so specialist enrollment is stored as 0.
