• Carreras de pregrado https://admision.uc.cl/carreras/

  Admission UC publishes a list of undergraduate carreras with academic degree, admissions data, annual tuition and links to each plan.

  Model elements: the dominant undergraduate entry is into a named carrera such as Actuación, Ingeniería, Medicina or College Ciencias Sociales, not a university wide undeclared entry.

• Carrera cards: duration and named programmes https://admision.uc.cl/carreras/medicina/

  Official carrera cards show specific degree paths and durations: Actuación lasts 8 semesters, College Ciencias Sociales lasts 8 semesters, Ingeniería lasts 11 semesters and Medicina lasts 12 semesters.

  Model elements: bachelor and professional undergraduate durations range from 4 to 6 years in the sampled official cards.

• Alternativas Académicas https://registrosacademicos.uc.cl/informacion-para-estudiantes/inscripcion-y-retiro-de-cursos/alternativas-academicas/

  Registros Académicos states that students may complement their plan by enrolling in academic concentrations: Certificado Académico for Formación General, Minor and Major.

  Model elements: Certificados Académicos allow students to concentrate 50 of 60 elective credits in a structured course programme in an area different from their own without extending the career time.

  The same Registros Académicos page defines Major as a larger concentration of courses and Minor as a smaller coherent concentration in a discipline or thematic area.

  Model elements: UC explicitly tells students to check the carreras that have Major or Minor incorporated and lists selected programmes, so these features are treated as a partial pocket rather than the dominant university wide model.

• Sobre la Formación General https://formaciongeneral.uc.cl/sobre-la-formacion-general/

  Formación General is described as integrated in all undergraduate study plans and oriented to the UC graduate profile.

  Model elements: students must complete 80 credits in thematic areas, including Theology, Philosophy and areas such as Arts, Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Sustainability, Humanities, Mathematical Thinking, and Health and Wellbeing, with distribution depending on the programme.

• Certificados Académicos https://formaciongeneral.uc.cl/certificados-academicos/

  Formación General describes Certificados Académicos as 50 credit academic alternatives that complement the student's discipline and can be certified together with the licenciatura.

  Model elements: the page lists disciplinary and interdisciplinary certificates from many academic units; for updated Formación General plans it warns that certificates are not recommended because they would be taken as extra credits.

• Movilidad hacia el mundo: Vía regular https://internacionalizacion.uc.cl/movilidad-hacia-el-mundo/via-regular/

  The Vía Regular exchange page says the bilateral exchange programme lets students take subjects at a foreign university while keeping regular UC student status and paying tuition at UC rather than the host university.

  Model elements: it also states that when students do an exchange they may request credit validation, and that the request is evaluated by the academic unit.

• Intercambio semestral 2027-1 https://internacionalizacion.uc.cl/oportunidad/intercambio-semestral-2027-1/

  The 2027-1 semester exchange call invites undergraduate and master's students to study one semester at a host university with an active agreement with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

  Model elements: applicants must be regular students during application and exchange, and must still have credits pending to complete during the exchange semester.

• Mi Futuro MINEDUC: Base Matrícula 2025 https://www.mifuturo.cl/bases-de-datos-de-matriculados/

  The official MINEDUC Mi Futuro Base Matrícula 2025 reports 33,765 Pregrado students for PONTIFICIA UNIVERSIDAD CATOLICA DE CHILE.

  The database separates Posgrado and Postítulo from Pregrado, so they are excluded from undergraduate enrollment. The specialist degree level does not apply to the Chilean model, so specialist enrollment is stored as 0.
