  The official pregrado page says it contains information on all carreras and programmes leading to licenciaturas and professional titles at Universidad de Chile.

  The page lists named undergraduate routes across the university, including Arquitectura, Ingeniería Civil, Derecho, Medicina and Programa Académico de Bachillerato.

  The footer gives the central address as Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 1058, Santiago de Chile, Casa Central.

  The official Bachillerato page lists the academic degree as Bachiller with mention in Natural and Exact Sciences or in Humanities and Social Sciences.

  It gives the duration as four academic semesters in daytime mode and describes the curriculum as flexible.

  The programme includes 10 common courses for both mentions and 10 elective courses related to regular studies in the careers offered by the university's faculties.

  Graduates can continue into Universidad de Chile undergraduate careers and programmes through a special system, depending on annual vacancies and requirements. Common and elective courses taken in Bachillerato are recognized when they correspond to the curriculum of the destination career.

  Model elements: this is decisive evidence for programChoice 2. Bachillerato provides a common flexible first stage and later incorporation into a main career, but it is not an open programme because the route has two mentions, annual vacancies and destination-career requirements.

  The official Medicina page gives the academic degree Licenciado/a en Medicina and the professional title Médico/a Cirujano/a.

  The page gives the duration as 14 semesters.

• Cursos de Formación General, first semester 2026 https://avirtual.uchile.cl/archivo/6853

  The official AVirtual page for Cursos de Formación General says the courses are directed to undergraduate students and registration is through UCampus.

  It tells students to check the catalogue and the programme of the course of interest, including modality, methodology and assessment, and to register within the periods defined by their faculty.

  The published 2026 catalogue includes a broad set of CFG courses taught in different modalities and located across faculties and campuses, including Economía y Negocios, Derecho, Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas, Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Ciencias Químicas y Farmacéuticas, INTA, UCursos and EOL.

  Model elements: this supports courseChoice 3. Students have a broad university-level internal course catalogue beyond their original carrera, but the evidence does not by itself show routine external course choice.

• Programa de Movilidad Estudiantil https://uchile.cl/PME

  The official PME page describes international exchange information for Universidad de Chile students and international students.

  For Universidad de Chile students, it lists in-person international exchange, virtual international exchange, partner universities and calls such as APRU virtual courses and semester mobility.

  Strict cross-registration review: ordinary semester exchange and mobility calls are not counted as courseChoice 4. They are mobility formats, not routine registration for one or two external courses with low bureaucracy.

  The official APRU virtual course call is directed to undergraduate students and says UChile students may take one virtual course at one university in the APRU programme.

  It says selected students remain Universidad de Chile students, pay no tuition for the virtual course at the destination university, and may receive course recognition for convalidación according to the protocols of each faculty or institute.

  The requirements include completion of the first year of a professional career or licenciatura, faculty or institute backing for course recognition through a signed Acuerdo Académico, APRU registration, PME form, transcript translation and APRU selection. The page also says places are limited and students receive a transcript for the convalidación process at the end of the course.

  Strict cross-registration review: this is a real external course pocket, but I do not raise courseChoice to 4 because it is a competitive mobility call with faculty backing, academic agreement and PME/APRU selection, not routine low-friction cross-registration.

• Pregrado y postgrado https://uchile.cl/u54563

  The official Universidad de Chile Hechos y cifras page reports 37,604 current pregrado students in 2025. The total figure of 46,120 students includes pregrado, master's, doctoral, postitulo and professional specialist students, so the undergraduate field uses only the pregrado figure.
