  The official page describes Universidade de São Paulo as a public university maintained by the State of São Paulo and created in 1934.

  It states the scale of undergraduate provision: 324 undergraduate courses, 43 teaching and research units and more than 60 thousand undergraduate students.

  USP's address is given as R. da Reitoria, 374, Cidade Universitária, Butantã, São Paulo, SP.

  USP lists undergraduate courses across eight cities and provides a separate Estrutura curricular link for each course, campus and shift.

  The official list includes named routes such as Administração, Arquitetura e Urbanismo, Medicina, Psicologia, Relações Internacionais, Bacharelado em Sistemas de Informação and multiple Chemistry emphases.

  Model elements: undergraduate discovery and curricula are organised around named courses and course-specific curricular structures. I found no official university-wide open programme, major declaration model, minor system or double-major rule for the dominant undergraduate structure.

  Jupiterweb identifies the curriculum as Química, Bacharelado em Química com Ênfase em Química Tecnológica.

  The same curriculum page reports duration as ideal 8 semesters, minimum 7 semesters and maximum 12 semesters.

  The page separates mandatory, elective optional and free optional subjects; its note says this Chemistry emphasis requires 8 credits in optativas eletivas and 4 credits in optativas livres.

  Model elements: this is a course-specific emphasis inside a named Chemistry curriculum. It supports restricted internal electives, but not a university-wide major or minor choice model.

  The Psychology curriculum reports duration as ideal 8 semesters, minimum 8 semesters and maximum 12 semesters.

  The curriculum note says a student enrolled in the professional Psicólogo formation may opt, exclusively or additionally, to obtain the Bacharel em Psicologia degree by requesting entry to the habilitation from the 7th semester.

  The bachelor habilitation requires 146 mandatory credits and 38 optional credits, including 36 credits in optativas livres.

  Model elements: this is a local habilitation route inside Psychology. I treated it as a flexible pocket, not as evidence of a general second-major or minor architecture across USP.

  The Information Systems curriculum at Escola de Artes, Ciências e Humanidades reports duration as ideal 8 semesters, minimum 8 semesters and maximum 12 semesters.

  The curriculum note describes the Ciclo Básico at EACH and its Disciplinas Gerais, distributed across thematic modules where students should take one DG in each module and, where possible, have at least two course options per theme.

  Model elements: this supports a distribution-style choice pocket in one school, but it is not enough to reclassify the dominant USP model above programChoice 0.

  The official Jupiterweb curriculum for Medicine at the Faculdade de Medicina reports ideal duration as 12 semesters, minimum duration as 12 semesters and maximum duration as 18 semesters.

  Model elements: this source sets the upper normal undergraduate professional programme length used here, 6 years.

  The official Mundus public page links the norms for USP undergraduate international exchange to Resolução CoG 4974, dated 28 November 2002.

  Model elements: Mundus is USP's public mobility and exchange platform, and it separates calls for undergraduate students, faculty, staff, exchange students and graduate students.

  The resolution modifies the undergraduate international exchange programme and states that a regularly enrolled undergraduate student in any USP course, after completing 20% of credits, may take undergraduate subjects at foreign higher education institutions.

  It says the exchange period is normally up to one semester and can be extended by the Graduation Committee, up to four semesters.

  For disciplines completed abroad, the student receives the number of credits estimated by the Graduation Committee for subjects in which the student demonstrably passed, normally up to 20% of the USP course credits and exceptionally up to 50%.

• CoG Resolution 4605/1998 https://leginf.usp.br/resolucoes/resolucao-cog-no-4605-de-4-novembro-de-1998/

  The original exchange resolution requires the student to submit the intended course, study plan, disciplines, syllabi and workload for prior approval by the Graduation Committee.

  It also says credits obtained abroad are entered in a specific optional discipline, Atividades desenvolvidas no exterior, and may replace optional course credits; after departmental consultation, the Graduation Committee may recognise equivalence with mandatory disciplines.

  The official USP Statistical Yearbook 2025, Table 1.01 USP: Indicadores gerais de desempenho, reports the Graduação Alunos Matriculados value for 2025 as 58,448.

  The figure represents USP undergraduate students. The source does not provide a comparable split between bachelor and other undergraduate degree types, so bachelor is left null. The specialist category does not directly apply to the Brazilian graduação model.
